In the Duforestel M et al. 2019 study, the researchers exposed healthy breast cells to glyphosate for 21 days. These glyphosate-infused breast cells were then injected in healthy mice. "The glyphosate triggered a significant reduction in DNA methylation..." Import? Methylation occurs when a methyl (CH3) group is added to DNA, potentially silencing the expression of genes. But glyphosate was found to increase the protein, TET3, thereby reducing methylation, which potentially causes genes to be turned back on and become active.
Nevertheless, "The glyphosate-treated cells did not lead to tumor development."
But, combine glyphosate with a second cancer risk factor ....
Namely, enhanced expressions of microRNA (miR)182-5p ....
From Purdue University: "Although cells exposed to glyphosate alone did not induce tumor growth, cancerous tumors did develop after glyphosate was combined with molecules that were linked to oxidative stress. [Note: Enhanced microRNA (miR)182-5p]. Oxidative stress is a chemical reaction that occurs as the result of aging, diet, alcohol consumption, smoking or other stressors, and it alters the organization and integrity of the genome of the breast, aiding cancer development."
CONCLUSION: Glyphosate PLUS enhanced expression of oxidative stress molecules caused the development of breast cancer in half (50%) of the mice - the aggressive luminal B (ER+/PR-/HER2-) phenotype breast cancer.
2019 Forestel M et al. Study Comment by researcher, Sophie Lelievre:
“What was particularly alarming about the tumor growth was that it wasn’t the usual type of breast cancer we see in older women. It was the more aggressive form found in younger women, also known as luminal B cancer."
August 4, 2019 Is glyphosate (from Roundup) in tumors? Anthony Samsel, PHD, found, inter alia, glyphosate in a breast tumor. Dr. Samsel Commented: "I have analyzed and found glyphosate in human tissues and those of other animals. I have found glyphosate in human teeth, spinal disc, breast tumor, placentas and umbilical cords of babies. I have found glyphosate in eggs and semen and the collagens, keratins of man and other animals as well as plants and innumerable food items. A woman sent her breast tumor to Dr. Samsel to analyze for the presence of glyphosate.(starts around 20 minutes).
Four parts per billion of glyphosate!
One microgram of glyphosate has 3.561 trillion molecules of glyphosate. This is equivalent to one part per billion. So, multiply by four, for four parts per billion.
Where did the glyphosate attach in the tumor? Note that Dr. Samsel has found that glyyphosate can bind to proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Since Dr. Samsel chemically freed the glyphosate from the tumor, he can only surmise that the glyphosate had been bound to both proteins and fats.
The import for cancer?
Glyphosate exposure and consequential lymphoma development has generated many lawsuits. Dr. Samsel commented that there can be lymphoma of the breast and other tissues.
In addition, there are deleterious effects when glyphosate binds to fats. Fats affect the behavior of the cell. Indeed, glyphosate can affect apoptotic timing, signifying that cells do not appropriately die. So, cells keep ominously multiplying and multiplying.
We all know that radiation (polonium), toxins, and pathogens contribute to breast cancer. Can this seminal finding - even if there is an outside chance - serve as a predicate for breast cancer patients to sue Monsanto/Bayer.

"Glyphosate induces the breast cancer cells to thrive." Stephanie Seneff, PHD
HAVE BREAST CANCER? EATING GLYPHOSATE-LADEN FOOD UP-REGULATES TWO PROTEINS THAT PROPEL CANCER SURVIVAL.
In their 2019 study, Antoniou MN et al. investigated whether glyphosate (the active ingredient in Roundup) can substitute for proteins in dividing mammalian cells. If glyphosate, as a synthetic glycine, is able to supplant glycine (an amino acid building block for protein), the protein can potentially malfunction.
The researchers conducted an in vitro study using breast cancer tissue samples that they divided into two groups. The first group of breast cancer cells was given nutrients, while for six days the second group of breast cancer cells was given nutrients which contained a measured amount of glyphosate. Glyphosate, having extra stuff attached to it, is heavier than glycine. So, if glyphosate did bind to the proteins, the second group of breast cancer cells would be expected to be heavier.
Conclusion: Finding at the end of the experiment that the second group that was fed the nutrients with glyphosate was not heavier than the first group, the researchers concluded that glyphosate did not substitute for proteins. Comes now Anthony Samsel, PHD, and Stephanie Seneff, PHD, who analyzed the study.
CONTESTING THE STUDY: To the contrary, Drs. Samsel and Seneff believe that these researchers proved that glphosate does substitute for glycine in human proteins in breast cancer samples.
Dr. Seneff stated, "They found 15 unique amino acid sequences that are perfect matches with 15 human proteins that are associated with cancer. These are real proteins. These are real glyphosate substitutions. ... You could not make this up. The likelihood of all that happening by chance is zero."
And, since the donor breast cancer patient was most likely eating glyphosate-contaminated food prior to being diagnosed with breast cancer, and the nutrients in the experiment in the first group also were very likely unintentionally contaminated with glyphosate, and the second group was only exposed to the glyphosate for six days, is it any wonder that the two groups of breast cancer cells were similar in weight? After all, the breast cancer cells were all contaminated with glyphosate.
ONE PROTEIN FOUND ONLY IN CANCER CELLS: Importantly, ONE of the fifteen proteins found in the Antoniou study, TFG, which harbored a glyphosate sequence, is ONLY found in cancer cells. TFG is NOT found in normal cells. TFG fusion proteins have been found to promote the development of tumors. TFG, an unfavorable marker, is found in pancreatic and liver cancer.
AFTER JUST SIX DAYS OF NUTRIENTS WITH GLYPHOSATE, TWO CANCER-PROLIFERATING PROTEINS WERE UP-REGULATED IN BREAST CANCER CELLS. DR. SENEFF'S WORDS OF WISDOM: "GO ORGANIC!"
IN SECOND GROUP - AFTER ONLY SIX DAYS: In the study, the ONLY difference in the two groups of breast cancer cells was that after six days of treating the second group with nutrients with the added glyphosate, there were two proteins that were found to be over-expressed. These two up-regulated proteins, namely ADP/ATP translocase and serine/ arginine rich splicing factor 6, cause the cancer cells to proliferate. While not actually causing cancer, these proteins serve as cancer cell defenses, preventing apoptosis and blocking chemotherapy. Breast cancer is made worse.

OCTOBER 2018 STUDY: DO FREQUENTLY EATEN ORGANIC FOODS HELP REDUCE CANCER RISK? YES! Despite all of the problems attendant with volunteers reporting their eating habits, a prospective French cohort study on the consumption of organic food (without pesticides) has found that eating organic food reduced overall the risk of cancer. Specifically, what was observed were "reduced risks for specific cancer sites (postmenopausal breast cancer, NHL, and all lymphomas) among individuals with a higher frequency of organic food consumption. Further prospective studies using accurate exposure data are necessary to confirm these results and should integrate a large number of individuals. Although our findings need to be confirmed, promoting organic food consumption in the general population could be a promising preventive strategy against cancer." WHAT IS THE HARM OF GLYPHOSATE IN ROUNDUP?
In their formative, brilliant 2016 study, Anthony Samsel, PHD, and Stephanie Seneff, PHD, have discovered that glyphosate in Roundup has devastating effects in the human body.
Glyphosate is able to mistakenly insert itself into proteins in our body, which causes the proteins to malfunction.

How is glyphosate able to mis-incorporate in proteins?
Glyphosate is a synthetic amino acid. Glyphosate is similar in structure to the amino acid, glycine, and is called an analogue of glycine. Glycine is the smallest of the 20 amino acids. Glycine "has properties that support flexibility and the ability to anchor to the plasma membrane of the cytoskeleton" that would all be lost if glyphosate usurped glycine's role in proteins.
Is there proof that glyphosate can be mis-incorporated into proteins?
Dr. Samsel wrote, "C-14 radio-labeled studies prove that glyphosate becomes a part of proteins."

HIGHLIGHTS OF INTERVIEW
There is a "strong correlation" between the use of glyphosate and the increasing incidence of chronic diseases.
Glyphosate can destroy collagen (collagen is rich in glycine, and synthetic glyphosate can take its place). Collagen helps to hold the structure of our body together - such as, our bones, joints, and ligaments. Glyphosate can destroy collagen "of the basement membrane and extracellular matrix which surrounds each cell. This leads to the destruction of every gland, organ, and tissue."
Shockingly, glyphosate, like bisphosphonates (Fosamax, etc.) given as osteoporosis drugs, may be able to reduce bone loss, but the production of new collagen may be prevented, making the bone "brittle and fracture easily".
We are all at risk if we eat food contaminated with glyphosate.

1. Can you please explain how the synthetically produced amino acid, glyphosate (the active ingredient in Roundup), can substitute for the amino acid, glycine, and how this substitution "easily explains a link" with a host of diseases?
"Glyphosate is a synthetic amino acid that was created in a lab. It can participate in protein synthesis like our canonical amino acid Glycine. It is an analog with a side chain that causes mis-folded proteins. Amino acids determine protein structure, folding and function. So, when Glyphosate mis-incorporates, the misfolded proteins do not function like normal proteins that contain glycine. Glyphosate disrupts immune function altering proteins and receptors.
Glyphosate also alters and destroys collagen of the basement membrane and extracellular matrix which surrounds each cell. This leads to the destruction of every gland, organ and tissue."
2. Can you please comment on conserved glycine in collagen relative to the horror of osteoporosis?
"There are 28 types of collagen and Glycine comprises between 23 to 28 % of the protein. Glyphosate mis-incorporation creates an inferior collagen which lacks the flexibility, is resistant to proteolysis and eventually leads to apoptosis of the cell and the extracellular matrix surrounding the cell which has a high Glycine content.
The bone gains its flexibility and strength from collagen. Glyphosate like other phosphonates, including bis-phosphonate used as osteoporosis medications may prevent current loss of bone and collagen, but does nothing for restoring lost collagen and bone. Bis-phosphonate can prevent new collagen production by the cells. Bones deficient in collagen are brittle and fracture easily …. The joints and ligaments are also affected, as these too have high amounts of glycine contained in their collagen which Glyphosate disrupts …
Glyphosate causes collagen diseases through the destruction of the basement membranes i.e. the extracellular matrix (ECM). It is the ECM that controls the mitochondrial function of the cell and it is in the ECM that disease begins.".
3. Any special advice for women at high risk for or who are fighting breast cancer?
"We are all at risk if we are eating the contaminated food here in the USA or food in other countries contaminated by this synthetic amino acid Glyphosate. There are also other amino acids used as herbicides like Glufosinate, that do not belong in the food supply."

GENETICALLY MODIFIED (GMOs) FOODS AND BREAST CANCER? - THE SERALINI STUDY (REPUBLISHED)!
GMOs AND BREAST CANCER? In the republished 2014 Seralini et al. study, the researchers experimented with an 11% GMO maize corn diet in rats "cultivated with or without Roundup application and Roundup alone (from 0.1 ppb of the full pesticide containing glyphosate and adjuvants) in drinking water," for two years.
This study was a "follow-up investigation of a 90-day feeding study conducted by Monsanto in order to obtain commercial release of this GMO, employing the same rat strain and analyzing biochemical parameters on the same number of animals per group as our investigation."
Results? There was "very significant chronic kidney deficiencies, for all treatments and both sexes; 76% of the altered parameters were kidney-related. ... In females, all treatment groups showed a two- to threefold increase in mortality, and deaths were earlier. ...Females developed large mammary tumors more frequently and before controls; the pituitary was the second most disabled organ; the sex hormonal balance was modified by consumption of GM maize and Roundup treatments. DISCUSSION OF THE SERALINI STUDY ON DR. OZ SHOW October 17, 2012. Dr. Oz: “And there was a recent study that came out looking at rats who were given genetically modified food.”
Dr. Robin Bernhoft: (President of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine): “Well, this is a hugely important study. Seralini’s group fed two years of genetically modified corn to (Sprague-Dawley) rats which are the type of rats that every science experiment uses to study cancer in. Normally they get about 15 to 20 percent cancer eating normal food. In his study eating genetically modified food, 80 percent.”
Dr. Oz: “80 percent! Here’s a picture of some of those rats. These are tumors coming out of these animals?”
Dr. Bernhoft: “Yeah, most of the female rats got breast cancer. The male rats got inter-abdominal cancer. There were problems with the kidneys, the liver, and the pituitary."
Dr. Oz: “So Jeffrey, if these claims, and they are pretty serious ones, are true, why, how can it be this information is being ignored?”
Jeffrey Smith (Genetic Roulette): “Well the cover up started more than 20 years ago when the FDA’s own scientists repeatedly urged their superiors to require long-term study because they said these foods were dangerous. They said they could create allergies, toxins, new diseases and nutritional problems. But the FDA policy came out ignoring the scientists saying no safety studies were necessary, no labeling was necessary. So they ignored the science and now they have what is called kind of tobacco science, short-term animal feeding studies, studies designed to avoid finding problems. They got bad science down to a science."
"It's important to understand that, like tobacco-induced disease, most food-borne illnesses are not acute, but chronic. They develop slowly through repeated exposure, and they're more difficult to detect than those inducing a rapid and noticeable reaction. Therefore, they entail greater total risk."

WHAT ARE GENETICALLY MODIFIED FOODS - GMOs? "GMOs (or genetically modified organisms) are living organisms whose genetic material has been artificially manipulated in a laboratory through genetic engineering, or GE. This relatively new science creates unstable combinations of plant, animal, bacteria and viral genes that do not occur in nature or through traditional crossbreeding methods."

"The very process of creating a GMO creates side effects that can promote cancer. Monsanto’s Roundup Ready corn, for example, has higher levels of putrescine and cadaverine. These are not only linked to cancer and allergies, they produce the foul smell of rotting dead bodies.
Bt-toxin, which is manufactured by the altered DNA in every cell of genetically modified varieties of corn, cotton, and South American soy, pokes holes in cell walls. It may create “leaky gut,” which is linked to cancer and numerous other diseases.
Most GMOs are “Roundup Ready”—designed to be sprayed with Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide. These include Soy, Corn, Cotton, Canola, Sugar Beets (for sugar), and Alfalfa. Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup, is classified as a class 2A carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (part of the World Health Organization). They said it probably causes cancer in humans, does cause cancer in animals, does cause mutations in DNA that can lead to cancer, and where it is heavily sprayed, cancer rates are higher.
Roundup is also sprayed on numerous non-GMO crops just before harvest as a desiccant, to dry down the crop as it is killed by the herbicide. Some of these other crops include: Wheat, Oats, Flax, Peas, Lentils, Dry Beans, Sugar Cane, Rye, Triticale, Buckwheat, Millet, Potatoes and Sunflowers. Canola, Corn and Soybeans labeled non-GMO may also be sprayed with Roundup.
To avoid Roundup, eating non-GMO is not sufficient. It is better to choose organic, which does not allow the use of GMOs, Roundup, or other synthetic poisons. (Products labeled both Organic and Non-GMO Project Verified are even better, because the latter requires tests for possible inadvertent GMO contamination.) Since Roundup is sprayed on most US cotton, residues are found in cotton products including tampons. BUY ORGANIC!
Several cancer rates in the US are rising in parallel with increased use of glyphosate on GMO soy and corn fields. These include leukemia and cancers of the liver, kidney, bladder, thyroid, and breast.
In Argentina, the rate of cancer in communities living near Roundup Ready soybean fields has also skyrocketed, as have birth defects, thyroid conditions, lupus, and respiratory problems.
The following are just some of the health effects of glyphosate, all of which are known to increase cancer risk. Glyphosate:

Is an antibiotic
Promotes leaky gut
Chelates minerals, making them unavailable
Is toxic to the mitochondria
Interferes with key metabolic pathways
Causes non-alcoholic fatty liver disease

The full Roundup formulation is up to 125 times more toxic than glyphosate alone. It also has a greater endocrine disruptive effect.
Thousands of people who were exposed to Roundup and are now suffering from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma are suing Monsanto. The lawsuit forced Monsanto to make public secret documents, emails, and texts. These are smoking guns, providing clear evidence that Monsanto colludes with government regulators, bullies scientists, ghostwrites articles, pays off journal editors and scientists, and publicly denies evidence of harm that it privately admits to.
I ended my talk by introducing a peer-reviewed article that was recently accepted for publication. It features survey results in which 3,256 people describe significant improvements in 28 conditions after switching to non-GMO (and often organic) food. Of the 155 people who reported improvement in cancer after making the change, 23% said there was “Significant improvement,” 17% said the condition was “Nearly gone,” and 42% had a 'Complete Recovery.' In a 2015 study, Ackermann W et al. conducted studies on the rumen fluid of a four year old cow to determine the influence of glyphosate on the microbiome.
Here is some commentary on the study by Martin Michener, PHD: "During the last decade, even well-cared-for pastured cattle have developed serious acute digestive problems, seemingly at random. Symptoms include apathy, severe indigestion, wasting and weight loss. ... The symptoms closely match those of botulism poisoning, but the diagnosis is far from simple."
And, "Because of the timing, many experts suspected this epidemic to be one more of the health impacts from the active ingredient in the world’s best selling unregulated pesticide Roundup: glyphosate."
Two Experiments: The researchers "transferred samples of the rumen contents plus specific diets into warm reaction chambers where this 'cud' was cultured for two days. They then analyzed what microbes remained after different treatments. They wanted to establish dosage cause-and-effect by adding glyphosate in ways we never could with human digestion. The rumen and its in vitro mechanical incubator 'Daisy" would thus make possible the comparison of the world's most critically adapted microbiome under the stress of an added herbicide. In a second series, they also added to some samples the microbe which produces the notorious toxin, 'botox' or BoNT."
The study concludes, "Glyphosate causes dysbiosis (microbial imbalance) which favors the production of BoNT in the rumen."

Organic food is "up to 60% higher in a number of key ingredients than conventionally grown food". Some antioxidant polyphenolics that were found to be higher in organically grown food are phenolic acids, flavanones, stilbenes, flavones, flavonols, and anthocyanins.

In the 2014 Oates L et al. study, Australian researchers studied adults who consumed "a diet of at least 80% organic or conventional food for 7 days and then crosssed over the alternate diet."

CAN EXPOSURE TO DIETARY PESTICIDES BE ESTIMATED?
In the Curl C. et al. 2015 study, "The researchers predicted each participant’s exposure to organophosphate pesticides based on the amount and type of produce each participant typically ate and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s measurements of pesticide residue levels on those foods. The researchers then compared these predictions to pesticide metabolite levels measured in urine samples from a subset of 720 people." "Among conventional consumers, increasing tertile of estimated dietary organophosphate exposure was associated with higher DAP (urinary dialkylphosphate ). DAP concentrations were also significantly lower in groups reporting more frequent consumption of organic produce."
Thus, "Long term dietary exposure to organophosphate pesticides were estimated from dietary intake data, and estimates were consistent with DAP measurements. More frequent consumption of organic produce was associated with lower DAPs."
